2K has announced the full list of matches to be included in the upcoming WWE 2K25 Showcase mode. The mode, which sees players compete in a series of matches while attempting to complete objectives, returns inWWE 2K25. Named The Bloodline’s Dynasty, the mode will focus on the extended Anoaʻi family which includes the likes of Roman Reigns, The Rock, and Umaga. The WWE 2K25 showcase features three sets of matches; Relive History, Change History and Create History....

Microsoft has confirmed the lineup of games coming to Game Pass starting this week. Games include the soon-to-be-released Fallout-like Atomfall, and the highly regarded JRPGOctopath Traveler2. VGC recently played theopening hours of Atomfallwhich we said was full of “quirky characters and an intriguing mystery.” 33 Immortals joins Game Pass today as part of the Game Preview program onXboxconsoles,PC, and Cloud. Xbox boss Phil Spencer has ruled out the possibility of launching Xbox Game Pass on other console platforms in the near future. In aGamesRadarinterview, Spencer was specifically asked whetherMicrosoftis planning to bringXboxGame Pass toNintendo Switch. “We have no plans to bring it to any other kind of closed platforms right now, mainly because those closed platforms don’t want something like Game Pass,” he responded. “There’s a ton of open platforms out there for us to grow in: the web,PC, and mobile....

Xbox currently has a mystery sequel in development that could take as long as a decade to make, it’s been revealed. As spotted byAxios’Stephen Totilo, the game was mentioned in court documents relating to an ongoing legal challenge in which a group of self-indentified gamersare trying to block Microsoft’s acquisitionofActivision Blizzard. At one point the document explains that triple-A games can take a long time to make, usingHalo Infiniteas an example (though the length and cost of development is redacted)....

YouTube has announced the first ever “interactive gaming live stream”, ‘YouTube: Game On’. The platform’s self-proclaimed “biggest gaming special ever” will stream on Saturday, August 27 at 1:00 PM PT / 4:00 PM ET, and feature around 2 hours of content hosted by more than 60 popular creators. Viewers will be able to play along by voting in real time on unique gaming challenges and influence how the stream will play out, according to YouTube....

A logo for ‘Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family’ has reportedly been discovered, which could suggest an official multi-user subscription could be coming soon. The alleged logo for the service was found by@ALumia_Italia, a Twitter user who scrapes theXboxbackend. Microsoft has announced the next wave of titles coming to Xbox Game Pass for console, PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Flynn: Son of Crimson (Cloud, Console,PC) will join the service on September 15, followed by I Am Fish (Cloud, Console, PC), SkateBird (Cloud, Console, PC) and Superliminal (Cloud, Console, PC) on September 16. They will be followed by Aragami 2 (Cloud, Console, PC) on September 17 and the following titles on September 23: Lost Words: Beyond the Page (Cloud, Console, PC),Sable(Cloud, Console, PC), Subnautica: Below Zero (Cloud, Console, PC), and Tainted Grail: Conquest (PC)....

Bungie is seeking over $7,650,000 in damages from a Destiny YouTuber who allegedly impersonated the company in order to issue a series of bogus DMCA strikes against fellow content creators. The studio said in March that it was investigating a series of copyright takedowns on YouTube that had not originated from the company or its partners. Later that month it filed a lawsuitclaiming that John Does had used “a hole in YouTube’s DMCA-process security” to impersonate the studio and sabotage the work ofDestinycontent creators....

A new indie horror game has players trying to escape an endless Japanese subway station. The Exit 8 is developed by Japanese indie studio Kotake Create, and isset to be released on Steamlater this month. The game places players in an underground passageway and tasks them with escaping. However, as players progress, the corridors appear to repeat themselves – similar to the now delistedSilent Hills ‘PT’ demo – as does the passenger who continually walks past the player....

A 20-foot recreation of the Donkey Kong arcade cabinet is coming to New York, and it will be fully playable. The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, NY is building the enormous machine and aims to have it set up and ready to play by June 30. The game’s cabinet will be 370% bigger than the original 1981 Donkey Kong machine, and is constructed from an aluminium frame with MDF fiberboard....

It appears Bethesda could be planning to announce a new Quake game next week. On Thursday the publisher released the officialschedulefor QuakeCon 2021, which isrunning from August 19-21 as an all-digital event. As spotted byXboxEra, the schedule initially mentioned plans to discuss a “revitalized edition” of Quake during a ‘Let’s talk Quake’ session. The developer behind Abandoned has claimed it reached out to Silent Hill publisher Konami.
