Fortnite is currently offline as Epic Games prepares to launch Chapter 2 – Season 5 of the battle royale game on December 2. The game recently wrapped up its Marvel-themed Chapter 2 – Season 4 with a fight against planet consumer Galactus in a live Nexus War finale event which kicked off at 4pm ET/1pm PT/9pm UK on Tuesday. Microsoft has unveiled Forza Street, a new free-to-play entry in its popular Forza Motorsport series. Available now for Windows 10 devices, the spin-off will also be released oniOSandAndroiddevices later this year. The game has been developed by Brighton, UK-based studio Electric Square, in partnership with series creatorTurn 10 Studios. Nintendo has released more than 70 screenshots of Super Mario Bros Wonder. Following aNintendo Directpresentation dedicated to the game,Nintendoshared the following screens to press. They show many of the game’s new power-ups in action, as well as some of the effects caused by the Wonder Flower collectible. The number of people playing Half-Life 2 at the same time reached potentially its highest point ever on Sunday. SteamDBreports that the game reached a peak of 52,029 players on Saturday, which then rose to 64,085 concurrent players on Sunday. This is significantly higher than the game has ever reached before, with the highest peak on record being around 16,000 during a community event in August 2021. Other than that, it has only risen over 5,000 concurrents on a rare handful of occasions....

Feral Interactive has announced a Nintendo Switch release date for its updated version of Hitman: Blood Money. The sequel to Kirby Air Ride is coming later this year on Switch 2. The game will be called Kirby Air Riders, and will be directed byMasahiro Sakurai. Kojima Productions has said it will continue to work with PlayStation following yesterday’s announcement that the team is making a game with Microsoft. In a message on the officialKojima ProductionsTwitter account, the company emphasised that it is an independent studio and that it has a “very good partnership withPlayStation“. “As an independent creative studio, Kojima Productions will continue pursuing work on creations for our fans,” it said. “We will explore various possibilities with games, movies, and music through platforms that evolve with time and technology....

The CEO of Krafton says the acquisition of Tango Gameworks was designed to add more creativity to its portfolio, rather than to make big money. A survey of Japanese players trying to pre-order a Switch 2 has found that the vast majority of them want the cheaper region-locked model exclusive to Japan. Earlier this monthNintendoannounced that a‘Japanese / Domestic Only’ version of Switch 2will be the only version available to purchase from general retailers in Japan. The ‘Domestic Only’ console will retail for a cheaper price (49,980 yen, or $334) and will only have Japanese as the console’s language setting, and the only Nintendo account that can be linked will be one created with the country/region setting set to Japan....

The live-action Cyberpunk project is “still in the conceptual stage” of development, according to CD Projekt joint-CEO Michał Nowakowski. CD Projektannounced last October that it was collaborating with media company Anonymous Content on a live-action project set in the world of Cyberpunk. It hasn’t explicitly confirmed whetherthe project will be a movie, a TV series or something else, but CD Projekt provided a progress update during a Q&A session held on Tuesday as part of its quarterly earnings results....
