Electronic Arts has released a six-minute video showing the first Star Wars: Squadrons gameplay. Epic Games boss Tim Sweeney has defended the company’s strategy of signing PC exclusives for its digital storefront, claiming it’s the only way to challenge Steam. “We believe that there’s no set of features which Epic, or any other store, could add that would be so revolutionary as to lead to a large-scale move of gamers from a dominant storefront to a new one,” the executive said onTwitter. “We believe the lock-in effect of having a large library of games on a dominant storefront is more powerful than features, and hence a dominant store can only be challenged through exclusives....

Evercade manufacturer Blaze Entertainment has revealed the first of the products it will be releasing as part of its new partnership with SNK Corporation. The company will be releasing an Evercade cartridge focused entirely on Neo Geo arcade games, as well as a new Neo Geo themed version of its Super Pocket line of handhelds. The cartridge, which will be named Neo Geo Arcade 1, contains six Neo Geo arcade games and will be released in July at $24....

The Xbox Series X/S version of Final Fantasy 14 will require at least Xbox Game Pass Core, Square Enix has confirmed.
