Microsoft has confirmed the next wave of Xbox Game Pass titles for April. The second half of April will see the Game Pass release ofClair Obscur: Expedition 33, as well asCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Grand Theft Auto 5, which was previously announced as joining the service, is available now. Microsofthas also confirmed which games will be leaving the service soon. The following games will be delisted from the service on April 30 , but Game Pass members can save “up to 20%, on purchasing the games if they wish to keep them in their library....

Guerrilla Games has discussed the origins of Lego Horizon Adventures and the decision to release the game for Nintendo Switch. Announced during last week’s Summer Game Fest showcase, the action adventure title will hitPS5,PCandNintendo’s console this holiday season. Co-developed byGuerrillaand Studio Gobo, it’s billed as “a playful and light-hearted story inspired by the events of the world of Horizon”. The game has been in development for about three years, according toJames Windeler, a narrative director at Guerrilla who told VGC the studio plays home to “tons of Lego fans”....

Hades has won the Game of the Year award at this year’s Game Developers Choice Awards. The award ceremony, which took place duringGDC2021, also saw the roguelike action game picking up awards for Best Design and Best Audio. 343 is currently investigating an issue which is reportedly causing Halo Infinite to download huge amounts of data during every multiplayer match, in some cases, almost 1GB. First highlighted by@NicmeistaR, after every match, the game client would reportedly use between 305Mb and 900Mb of data. This caused alarm as playing the game for a few hours could unknowingly smash through a player’s data cap in a single night. I shit you not, this was 2 matches (you can see the two 10mb transfers) the rest was all just the main menu....

A datamine of Halo Infinite’s technical preview has reportedly uncovered a possible nod towards a battle royale game mode. A voice clip reportedly found in Infinite’s preview files – uncovered byResetera– featuresHalo’s iconic announcer calling out the possible mode. The presence of the clip withinHalo Infinite’s files isn’t necessarily proof that a battle royale mode is in the works. It could be audio left over from cancelled content, or it could be related to something different entirely....

Last week’s State of Play presentation from Sony had more concurrent viewers than any State of Play before it, a new report claims. According to Streams Charts, the February 12 presentation had an average of 1.8 million viewers when all streams and co-streams are taken into account. The report says that at its peak, the viewer count hit 2.18 million concurrent viewers, which it claims is the first time aState of Playhas ever broken the 2 million mark....

Lego is planning a “big reveal” related to Mario later this week. According toNintendo‘s list of ‘Mario Day’ events, due to take place on March 10 (MAR10), Lego will be hosting a special presentation on its YouTube channel. Dubbed the Lego Super Mario YouTube Premiere, it’s claimed that the event will feature “exclusive content and a big reveal by your host, Jack Gardner”. The development staff behind Lies of P are set to receive numerous bonuses as a result of hitting a big sales milestone. A new Mario Kart Tour update has been released, adding several new features to the game and addressing “minor issues”. Released on Thursday,Mario Kart Tourupdate version 1.1.0 enables players to view a list of badges they’ve acquired and introduces a point checking feature.
