Remedy has announced that Alan Wake 2’s first expansion, Night Springs, launches on June 8. The release date was announced at theSummer Game Festshowcase on Friday, where the trailer above was also released. Remedy’s creative directorSam Lakeappeared on stage to introduce the DLC, which he said contains three episodes featuring three fan favourite playable characters. He also announced that the currently digital-only game will receive a physical release this fall / autumn....

Amazon has released a new trailer for its upcoming Fallout TV series, which is viewable below. Notably, it confirms that all episodes of the show will now be made available on April 11, which is one day earlier than previously announced. Starring Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins and Aaron Moten, the show is being produced by Kilter Films, the production company behind HBO’s Westworld. “Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have,” reads the description accompanying the trailer....

Apple and Sony are working together to bring PlayStation VR2 hand controller support to the Apple Vision Pro headset. New details on Avowed, Obsidian’s upcoming fantasy RPG set in the Pillars of Eternity universe, have reportedly leaked. The latest hotfix patch for Baldur’s Gate 3 has pleased fans of a certain character in the game. His Majesty is an NPC cat who can be found in the game’s Last Light Inn. When the game was released, His Majesty was a Sphynx cat, a breed known for its complete lack of fur. However, it soon emerged that this was a bug, and that His Majesty accidentally had the same character model as another Sphynx cat in the game called Steelclaw....

Electronic Arts has released Battlefield V’s War in the Pacific update and a new Year 2 Edition of DICE’s shooter, ahead of the launch of a free game trial this weekend. Battlefield V update 5.0introduces new maps, factions (the US and Japan), weapons and vehicles. New maps include Pacific Storm and the returning classics Iwo Jima and Wake Island (the latter coming in December), reimagined forBattlefield V. EA has announced that BioWare veteran Mark Darrah is again working with the studio in a bid to help it complete Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. Darrah, who is now serving as a consultant on the game,retired from BioWare in February 2021after almost a quarter of a century at the studio. During that time, he led programming for the Baldur’s Gate games, directed Sonic Chronicles and exec produced the Dragon Age series....

Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick has accused Sony of “trying to sabotage” Microsoft’s takeover of the company and claimed that PlayStation chief Jim Ryan has “stopped talking” to both. The executive has been talking to the press this month, as competition authorities in the UK, the EU and the US continue to scrutinise and raise objections over the proposed $69 billion acquisition. Brazil’s regulatory body has become among the first to approve Microsoft’s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard. The controversial war game Six Days in Fallujah will be released via Steam Early Access on August 02, 2025. The long-in-development game aims to tell the story of the Second Battle of Fallujah, which took place in 2004, from various perspectives, including American troops fighting the Iraqi insurgents, as well as members of the city’s civilian population. Priced at $39.99, it will launch in Early Access with four co-operative four-player missions set in urban maps that are procedurally generated each time the game is played, according to publisher Victura....
