Hades 2 developer Supergiant Games says it has no plans to replace any of its voice cast, after one actor said they were concerned strike action may affect their role. Marin M Miller, who voiced such Hades characters as Athena, Tisiphone and Alecto,posted a message on Blueskysaying there was a chance they may be replaced in the sequel because of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, which started last July after the actors union it had failed to negotiate acceptable protections around the use of AI for its members....

One of Helldivers 2’s game directors has acknowledged fan criticism of the game’s latest update. TheEscalation of Freedom updatewas released on August 6, but numerous players took to social media and forums to complain about it. PlayStation 5 has overtaken Nintendo Switch to become the UK’s best-selling console year to date. It looks like The Sims 5 could be set to launch as a free-to-play game. Developer Maxis is currently recruiting a Head of Marketplace & Monetization for the game, which was announced last October with the codename Project Rene. The successful candidate will “own pricing of all content in this free-to-enter game”, according to the job description, which was spotted bySims Communitybefore seeminglybeing pulled. The lead developers of the Like a Dragon / Yakuza series say they have no intention to stray from the theme of doing “middle-aged guy things”. In an interview withAutomaton, series directorRyosuke Horiiand lead planner Hirotaka Chiba explained that despite the series continuing to grow and appealing to a wider range of players, they feel the middle-aged nature of the protagonists is what gives the series its unique flavour. “I think that this is precisely one of Like a Dragon’s selling points,” Horii said....

It looks like Sega won’t be releasing a physical version of Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name in the west. The publisher announced last month that theYakuzaspin-offwill be released on November 9for PS5,PS4,Xbox Series X/S,Xbox OneandPC. Luigi’s Mansion 3 and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening will be playable at Nintendo’s E3 2019 booth, the platform holder has confirmed. Crystal Dynamics has provided a few additional details on Marvel’s Avengers’ upcoming Spider-Man DLC. Marvel’s Avengerssenior producer Dan Matlack briefly mentioned the content during an exchange on the game’s official Discord. “Spider-Manis what we call an ‘event’ so he will have cut scenes and a story for sure,” he wrote (viaMP1ST).
