That’s according toMP1st, which claims that the Japanese developer has a game codenamed ‘FMC’ at “advanced stages of production”, alongside upcomingSwitch2 title The Duskbloods andElden Ring: Nigthreign’s post-launch support. According to the publication, the unannounced game is likely to release “no later” than next year. 2K and Firaxis have announced that Game of Thrones and Star Wars star Gwendoline Christie will be the in-game narrator for Civilization VII. As the official narrator forSid Meier’s Civilization VII, players will hear Christie’s voice as she comments and remarks on their choices in-game. Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford has denied Borderlands 4’s rescheduled release date is influenced by other games, amid GTA 6 speculation. On Tuesday,Gearbox announced it has shifted Borderlands 4’s release date forwardby several weeks. This sparked speculation that it could have been influenced byRockstar’s release plans forGrand Theft Auto 6, which is also owned byTake-Two. “Borderlands4 shipping early is 100% the result of confidence in the game and development trajectory backed by actual tasks and bug find/fix rates,”Pitchford wrote on X....

IO Interactive has delayed the release of Hitman 3’s Freelancer mode for a second time. Originally scheduled to launch this spring before beingpushed to the second half of the year, it will now arrive as a free update on July 28, 2025. Freelancer is a single-player mode featuring roguelike elements, strategic planning and a customisable safehouse. Announcing Freelancer’s previous delay in May, IO said the ability to spend more time developing the mode was “a luxurious decision” for it to be able to take, made possible by the game’s strong commercial performance....

IO Interactive has told VGC that the new Hitman: World of Assassination mission starring Mads Mikkelsen is part of a “promise to players” that the game will offer experiences that can’t be had outside of Hitman. AtSummer Game Fest, IO announced that Le Chiffre from the James Bond film Casino Royale, played by Mads Mikkelsen,is now available in Hitman: World of Assassination as an Elusive Target. Insomniac Games has advised players who buy a physical copy of Spider-Man 2 for PlayStation 5 to download its launch day update. Mario Kart Tour will add a Time Trials mode during its upcoming Halloween event, which begins on October 22 at 11:00pm PT (or 7am October 23 in the UK).
