The creator of Prime Video’s upcoming video game anthology series Secret Level says he hopes the Concord episode will show the potential the game had. The upcoming remaster of Shadows of the Damned has been censored on consoles in Japan, co-creator Suda51 has confirmed. The original version of the game, released in 2011, had to be censored in Japan to appease the ratings board CERO. A new board game based on Sonic the Hedgehog has been announced. Sonic Roll will be released by Kess Entertainment in January 2024, and appears to be based on the Mega Drive / Genesis era Sonic games. According to the game’s description, “you take on the role of Sonic, Tails, Amy, or Knuckles and work together to overcome Badniks, clear stages, and defeat Eggman”. The game is reportedly suitable for players aged 14 and over – likely due to the complexity of the rules rather than any questionable content – and takes 30-60 minutes to play....

Paramount has released the logo treatment for Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and has teased a fan-favorite song. The logo, which is a play on the logo for Sonic Adventure 2, is accented blue on one side to represent Sonic, and black and red on the other, presumable to represent Shadow, who was teased in the second film. The clip ends with a few seconds of an orchestral version of Live & Learn, the main theme from Sonic Adventure 2....

Sony has renewed its Psygnosis trademark in North America. As spotted by business analystRoberto Serrano, the Psygnosis name was renewed in December 2021, despite the fact the brand hasn’t been used since 2000. However, further examination of the trademark’s filing history suggests this may be a straightforward renewal to prevent others from using the Psygnosis name and classic owl logo in North America. Square Enix has admitted that early Forspoken sales have been disappointing. The debut game fromSquare Enix’s Luminous Productions studio was released on January 24 to middling reviews, with its Metacritic scorecurrently sitting at 64onPS5and 63 onPC.
