Annapurna Interactive is set to publish a game about taking photos in beautiful landscapes around the world. Lushfoil Photography Sim is being developed by Matt Newell, an Australian developer who specialises in creating photorealistic environments in Unreal Engine 5. According to the game’s description, players will “trek through and explore environments to capture stunning vistas and landscapes with [their] fully-featured in-game camera.” It adds: “Discover hidden secrets and objectives that reward patient and observant players that have a good eye for angles and perspectives....

Microsoft could hold a Bethesda-themed event as soon as next month, should its acquisition deal close in time. That’s according to prominent news journalist Jeff Grubb, who claimed ina new podcastthat theXboxfirm is planning to “extensively” detail its plans forBethesda. “I think this is one of the milestones forMicrosoftbefore E3, where once the deal closes they will talk about it in a big way,” he said. “I don’t know if it will be a full, Direct-style event, but they will make note about it and they will talk about it extensively, explain what it means for everybody and talk about the immediate future of both companies becoming one....

Microsoft has reportedly hired a lawyer known for repeatedly defeating the EU regulator in competition cases, as it prepares to appeal the UK regulator’s decision to block its acquisition of Activision Blizzard. Last month the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA)prevented the deal from going ahead, citing concerns over its effect on competition in the cloud gaming market. Microsoft is set to give away a highly limited edition set of Xbox controllers to commemorate its acquisition of Bethesda. Nacon has revealed more information on its upcoming Terminator survival game, including its official title and release date. A stack of decorative Goomba characters at Japan’s Super Nintendo World fell over this week, narrowly missing guests. The incident happened on Monday afternoon at the Osaka-based park’s Yoshi’s Adventure ride,Asahi Shumbun Digitalreports. The piece of scenery, which is shaped like four Super Mario Goomba enemies standing on top of each other in a stack, fell over and landed near the entrance to a tunnel on the ride. The Goombas reportedly fell from a height of several metres but landed on a section of the ride that was inaccessible by guests, meaning nobody was hurt....

Monster Hunter Rise has broken its all-time Steam concurrent player record, thanks to its new expansion Sunbreak. According toSteamDBdata, theCapcomgame achieved its all-time highest number of players, 194,459, which is significantly higher than Rise’sPClaunch week numbers of 134,262. Prior to the launch of Sunbreak, the game was seeing between 70,000 at peak times and 20,000 during quiet periods.
