UK supermarket chain Tesco will no longer sell physical video games in its stores. According toGamesIndustry.biz, once its current stock has been sold, the retailer—which has over 2800 stores n the UK—will no longer sell boxed games. The supermarket chain told the site the decision was due to the move from its customers “towards digital entertainment”. This news hasn’t been entirely unexpected, following massive discounts to video game products across Tesco’s stores this year....

Microsoft has announced plans to replace its long-running Xbox Live Gold subscription service with a new Xbox Game Pass membership tier. Microsoft has dropped plans to remove the ability for Xbox users to share game screenshots and videos directly to Twitter. AnXboxInsider build rolled out to members earlier this monthremoved Twitter sharing entirely from the Xbox dashboard. The removal of the feature meant users had to upload clips to their phones and then share them from there, adding a second stage to the process. Xbox will make changes to the current Game Pass subscription model when the next Call of Duty game is released, it’s claimed. Last week theWall Street Journalclaimed, according to its sources with knowledge of the situation, that this year’s entry – which has yet to be officially announced –will be included in the subscription service.
