Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick has reportedly told senior managers he would be willing to resign if he can’t “quickly fix” the culture problems at the company. That’s according to sources who spoke to theWall Street Journal, who claimed that the CEO made the comments during a meeting with executives on Friday, but stopped short of saying he would step down. TheActivision Blizzardboss is facing criticism following the publication of a separateWall Street Journalreport this month, which alleged thatKotick was aware of multiple sexual misconduct allegationsat the company, and also accused him of personally mistreating several female employees....

Activision has confirmed that Treyarch and Raven Software are developing Call of Duty 2020. Tuesday’s announcement was made during the publisher’s second quarter earnings call, during which it also revealed thatCall of Duty Warzone has attracted over 75 million playerssince launching in March 2020, andCall of Duty Mobilehas surpassed 250 million downloads since releasing in October 2019. “Activisionwill continue to build on its direct digital relationship with this expanded community as it delivers the next premium instalment for Call of Duty, which comes from the wholly owned Call of Duty studiosTreyarchandRaven Software,” saidActivision Blizzardchief operating officer Daniel Alegre....

Capcom has acquired Swordcanes, a support studio that has previously worked on Street Fighter 6, Final Fantasy 16 and Hi-Fi Rush. Swordcanes primarily works on CG assets and animation. The company has also previously worked on the Monster Hunter series and assistedBandai Namcoin the character modeling for NewPokemonSnap. Swordcanes’ website lists the studios’ strengths as 3D character modeling, 3D environment creation, 3D animation, and 2D animation. “Swordcanes’ strength lies in 3D computer graphics production technology in consumer home video game development, and the studio has carried out work on majorCapcomtitles in the past,” Capcom stated....

Capcom has revealed that it tested open world and online concepts for Resident Evil Requiem, before settling on a traditional single-player game. Speaking in an extended developer diary video available to membersof Capcom’s website, Requiem director Koshi Nakanishi shared a brief look at the early online version ofResident Evil9 and said it was ultimately abandoned because he realised it wasn’t what fans wanted. “You might have heard some of the rumours, things like an online Resident Evil or an open world Resident Evil, which we spent some time experimenting with,” he said....

New set photos from Amazon Prime’s upcoming Fallout TV series have been leaked online. Posted on Tuesday by unofficial Twitter fan account ‘BethesdaArabic’, the photos reportedly show the set for Shelter 33, a shelter they say is “completely new to the series”.
