Netflix has confirmed plans to show off a number of upcoming TV series based on video game properties next month, including Cyberpunk Edgerunners. SRD is a developer comprised of around 140 employees that while technically independent before now, has worked exclusively on first-partyNintendosoftware for 40 years and operates close to Nintendo’s Kyoto, Japan HQ. Nintendo has announced that it will be changing the Japanese name of Spike, the foreman who appears in The Super Mario Bros Movie. Spike first appeared as an enemy in Wrecking Crew, which was released in arcades in 1984 then came to the Famicom and NES in 1985. After decades of inactivity, Spike returns in The Super Mario Bros movie, as the rival to Mario and Luigi when they’re working in Brooklyn....

Nvidia has announced that it plans to implement a limit to how long players can use its GeForce Now game streaming service. In a post on theGeForce Now Reddit page, the company announced that starting in 2025 players will have an allowance of 100 hours per month. It says these limits will affect members of both its Performance and Ultimate subscriptions. Performance is $9.99 a month and offers 1440p streaming, ray tracing and 6-hour session lengths, while Ultimate is $19....

Sony has revealed October 2024’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue and Classics titles. This month’s additions (which are listed in full below) includeDead Island 2,Two Point Campus, Gris, and Return to Monkey Island. Long-time Princess Peach and Toad voice actor Samantha Kelly has confirmed that she’ll no longer be playing the characters in Nintendo’s games. Kelly first voiced Peach in the 2007 Wii game Mario Strikers Charged and has continued to provide the character’s voice in the years since, including for 2024’sPrincess Peach Showtime.
