The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is the fastest-selling Switch game of 2019 in Europe.
That’s according to atweetfromNintendoof Europe, which also highlights the ‘Accolades’ trailer at the top of this page.
Link’s Awakening released on September 20 alongside theSwitch Lite console.
While Nintendo doesn’t go into specifics about the fastest-selling claim, Link’s Awakening would appear to have outperformed the debuts of otherSwitchgames released in 2019 such asSuper Mario Maker 2,Astral Chainand Fire Emblem Heroes.
Upcoming Switch software releases planned for 2019 includeLuigi’s Mansion 3 on October 31andPokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield on November 15.
VGC’sLegend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening reviewcalled the game “a charming reimagining of a classic 2D Zelda adventure, with gameplay that can’t quite match its striking presentation.”
