Nvidia’s GeForce Now streaming service is now available through Microsoft Edge, enabling Xbox owners to play PC games on their consoles, although Death Stranding is a notable exception.

As of today, GeForce Nowincludes beta support for the Microsoft Edge browser, meaningXboxplayers can streamPC gamesto their consoles.

However, having tested out the service on Xbox,Vergereporter Tom Warren reports thatDeath Strandingisn’t available, likely due to contractual agreements about where and how the game can be played.

Death Stranding is the debut game fromKojima Productions.Sonypublished the title forPS4in 2019, before505 Games brought it to PCviaSteamand theEpic Games Storein July 2020. Last month, Sony also releasedDeath Stranding Director’s Cut for PS5.

the weirdest part is that Sony doesn’t publish Death Stranding on PC, only on console. That might not matter, though. If there’s an agreement somewhere about cloud / console streaming exclusivity, then this could be why. I’ve asked Nvidia to comment

GeForce Now includes access to over 1,000 PC games. The Edge browser on Xbox also supports mouse and keyboard input, enabling users to play some games that don’t even have controller support.
