Microsoft has announced the latest special edition Xbox controller.
Following a recent leakthat confirmed the upcoming controller’s name, the company officially revealed the Ghost Cipher Special EditionXboxWirelessController on Tuesday.
Pictured above, it has a transparent grey design, allowing players to see the controller’s inner workings, rubberised back grips, and bronze metallic D-pad and triggers.
Priced at $69.99 / £64.99, it’s available to pre-order now ahead of its launch on Aug 02, 2025.
Its release follows the launch of theSky Cipher Special Edition Xbox Wireless Controllerthis summer.
Microsofthas today also launched Cipher Series top cases and chromatic D-pad/paddles for Elite Series 2 controllers with Xbox Design Lab in select markets.
“Drawing inspiration from the iconic translucent tech of the ’90s and early 2000s, the Cipher Series brings six stunning transparent top case designs to Xbox Design Lab,” itsaid.
“These vibrant, candy-colored top cases encapsulate the controller’s metallic frame, showcasing both its external beauty and the advanced engineering within the Elite Series 2 controller.
