Microsoft is cutting the price of its Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold subscription services in three territories.
The platform holder will reduce the price ofXboxGame Pass Ultimate, Xbox Games for console, Xbox Game Pass forPC, and Xbox Live Gold in Chile, Hong Kong, and Israel.
Microsoftsaid it regularly evaluates the price of the services at a local level to best serve customers in each country, and that the price adjustments were informed and based on local market conditions.
The company also provided VGC with a breakdown of the current and new pricing plans for each of the territories (pictured below), which it said will be communicated to customers on September 29.
Microsoft hinted at the potentialintroduction of cheaper Game Pass pricesduring a presentation in June.
“We need to innovate to bring our games and services to more people around the world. And we’re investigating how to introduce new subscription offerings for Xbox Game Pass,” Xbox’s experiences and platforms boss Liz Hamren said at the time.
“The point is that we’re being creative and dynamic in thinking about how to deliver the joy and community of gaming to everyone on the planet across devices, geographies, and financial realities.”
It was announced today thatMarvel’s Avengers will join Xbox Game Passon September 30.October’s Xbox Game with Gold titleswere also revealed.
