The PC version of Wolfenstein: Youngblood will now be released on Thursday July 25, publisher Bethesda has announced.
It was previously scheduled to launch alongside thePlayStation 4,Xbox OneandSwitchversions of the game on July 26.

Bethesdaconfirmed the revisedPCrelease date in aTwitterpost, but didn’t explain the reason for the shift.
Wolfenstein studioMachineGamesneeded to take risks with Youngblood in order to disrupt its development processes,co-founder Jerk Gustafsson told VGC in a recent interview.

The series’ latest instalment – the fourth from the Swedish studio – introduces several features unfamiliar to both the franchise and its developer, including co-op, a non-linear mission structure and the ability to upgrade characters throughout the game.
Gustafsson admitted it’s “a bit scary” waiting to see how the features will be received by fans, but said he personally feels positive about how the game has turned out.

Bethesda is bringing its annual QuakeCon convention to the UK for the first time later this week.Set to be held at Printworks, London on July 26 and 27, QuakeCon Europe is a free event that will run simultaneously with the traditional QuakeCon in Dallas, which kicks off a day earlier on July 25.
