Today’s Gamescom: Opening Night Live stream will feature 38 games but will primarily focus on titles that have already been announced.
The two-hour show kicks off at 11am PT / 2pm ET / 7pm BST on August 27.

“There will be some new game announcements, but like Opening Night Live last year, the show is primarily focused on updates from announced titles,” says organiserGeoff Keighley. “So no, we aren’t ‘announcing’ 38 new games.”
“So far we have announced the reveal of theDoom EternalCampaign Expansion, and the reveal Season 2 ofFall Guysfor Thursday. There will be much more to share in coming days on other titles!”
Gamescom 2020will take place digitally from August 27-30, with a number of digital events featuringpartner companiessuch asXbox,Sega,Bethesda,EA,UbisoftandActivision Blizzard.
For the second year running the show will kick off withGamescom: Opening Night Live, which attracted an audience ofover 500,000 simultaneous viewers in 2019.
There’ll be a new Awesome Indies show focused on announcements and news about indie games, plus a Gamescom: Daily Show expanding on the highlights of each day.
Gamescom 2020 will close with a Best of Show on August 30, which will include this year’s awards ceremony.
Gamescom‘s organisers officially confirmed thecancellation of 2020’s physical eventin April, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
