A version of Call of Duty Warzone 2’s map has seemingly leaked via a reliable industry insider.
In conjunction withTry Hard Guides, known insider Tom Henderson has published an image of the map (see below), revealing all of its points of interest (POI) and several notable features, including a significant amount of water.

According to the report, the battle royale game will introduce a swimming mechanic for the first time inWarzone. Neither of the original Warzone’s maps, Verdansk and Caldera, supported swimming, although it was possible in Call of Duty’s first battle royale,Black Ops 4’s Blackout.
A recent leak suggested there areplans to bring Warzone 2 closer to Blackoutin other ways too, including armour requiring a satchel to be equipped, and a new inventory system where you can only fit so many weapons and pieces of equipment in your bag.

However, Henderson’s latest report also claims developerInfinity Wardis already reviewing the bag system after it was heavily scrutinised in recent playtests and sparked much debate in the Call of Duty community following the leak.
TheWarzone 2map POIs include Oasis, War-torn, Quarry, Oilfield, Modern City, Hydro Station, Marshes, Harbor, Caves, Observatory, Mountain Town, Sira, Old Town, Graveyard, Fish to Win, Airport, Shipwreck and Fort.

Water is shown in blue, densely built-up locations in grey, the land in brown, elevated areas in dark brown, and a rail track in black.
As first reported by VGC in September 2021,Warzone 2’s map will include various classic points of interest, including areas based on popular multiplayer maps from 2009’sModern Warfare2.

Henderson recentlyreportedthat these would include Highrise, which is located at the top right of the map under the Modern City POI, Quarry (Quarry POI), Terminal (Airport POI) and Afghan (near Caves POI).
As previously revealed on VGC, Warzone 2’s map will have a second purpose: to house Modern Warfare 2’s third mode, DMZ, which is described by sources as a mix of PvP and PvE similar toBattlefield 2042’s Hazard Zone, which developerDICEsaid on Tuesdaywon’t be supported with any further new contentafter failing to attract a significant player base.
