Ubisoft has delayed the release of its free-to-play online sports game Roller Champions.
Previously planned for releaseduring the company’s current fiscal year ending on March 31, the game will now arrive in “late spring”.

The delay was confirmed in a message sent to beta testers on Discord, which was spotted byTom Henderson.
“After evaluating every possible scenario, the team has concluded that they will need a bit more time to deliver the successful game you deserve,” the message reads.

“We believe it’s the right decision to properly honour your excitement (and our own!) for the game and the competitive scene you’ve started around our beta.”

It added: “We know that many of you have been following the development of the game for a while now and to showcase our appreciation of your continued support, we wanted to verify you get this news first: Roller Champions will be releasing this late spring.”
Announced in 2019and originally scheduled for release the following year, Roller Champions is in development forPCand consoles atUbisoft Montreal.

Earlier this month,Ubisoft also delayed its The Settlers rebootbased on beta feedback. Prior to the delay, the PC game had been scheduled for release on March 17.
