Ubisoft games could soon be added to Xbox Game Pass, a prominent journalist in the Microsoft scene has suggested.
Windows Central editor Jez Corden claims that theAssassin’s Creedpublisher could incorporate itsUbisoft+ platform intoXbox’s own subscription service, according to his sources.

Cordenwroteon Twitter: “I imagine it would be a vault or smaller slice of older games, but crazier things have happened. I always thoughtEAPlay would be an extra tier of Game Pass, but they just rolled that bad boy right in. Guess we’ll see.”
Ubisoft+ (previously Uplay+) provides unlimited access to a back catalogue ofover 100 Ubisoft games, plus day one access to new releases, for $14.99/€14.99/£12.99 per month.

Currently, the service is only available onPCand cloud gaming platforms, and not consoles.
I’ve seen rumours about Ubisoft Uplay+ joining Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.I think this has a strong chance of being true, based on stuff I’ve heard.

Microsoftrecently incorporated the subscription service of publisher Electronic Arts into Game Pass.
EA Play also offers early access trials of most new EA games, includingFIFA 21andMadden NFL 21, and members receive a 10 percent discount on EA digital purchases.

In a recent interview withGaming Bible, Xbox marketing GMAaron Greenbergsuggestedthe addition of EA Play to Xbox Game Pass is part of a long-term agreementbetween Microsoft and EA.
Greenberg also said Microsoft was “open to” more marketing partnerships and co-promotions with other subscription services, having previously offered Xbox Game Pass memberssix months of Spotify Premiumand a30-day Disney+ trial.

“So right now we have a significant partnership with EA Play… and this is going to remain in the service for quite a while,” he said.
“So people should, just like you see, what if you compare to other subscription services likeNetflix, and you know, where if it’s aNetflixOriginals, those kind of stay on forever, if it’s something that they licence what’s made independently, it’s sort of up to the rights of the content owners.

“The same applies here,” Greenberg continued, “but EA is invested in Game Pass, just like we’re invested in helping support the EA Play catalogue. And we think, you know, ultimately, gamers are gonna be the ones that are going to win here.”
