Ubisoft has seemingly hinted at plans to release a new-gen update for Assassin’s Creed Origins imminently.

Last August,Ubisoft added 60fps support for 2018’s Assassin’s Creed Odysseywhen played onPS5andXbox Series X/Svia backwards compatibility.

And in December, the company said it was also“looking into adding 60fps support for Assassin’s Creed Origins”.

Reliable patch tracking Twitter accountPlayStationGame Size recentlyclaimedthatAssassin’s Creed Origins update 1.60had been added to the PSN database, with the patch notes reportedly confirming that it enables a higher framerate when playing the game on PS5.

And on Monday, a tweet from the official Assassin’s Creed account suggested the update’s release could arrive in the coming days.

The message included a line from Assassin’s Creed Origins protagonist Bayek before teasing “the wait is almost over”.

Assassin’s Creed Origins will join the Xbox Game Pass libraryin early June, so it’s possible the 60fps update could be released to coincide with the game’s arrival on the subscription service.
