Critically acclaimed tactical RPG Triangle Strategy has been delisted from the Nintendo eShop.
A post on the officialSquare Enixaccount on X confirmed that the game is temporarily unavailable, and that while it’s set to return there’s no confirmed date for this yet.
“Triangle Strategyis temporarily unavailable to purchase onNintendo SwitcheShop,” the message reads. “Those who have already bought the game will be able to download it.
“We are working on this and will update when the game is able to be purchased again.”
This isn’t the first time a Square Enix RPG has been delisted from the eShop. In March,Octopath Travelerwas removed from the eShop, but it took more than six weeks to return.
As is the case now, Square Enix didn’t provide a reason for Octopath Traveler’s delisting, but it was speculated that it may have been related to Square Enix recently acquiring the publishing rights for the game fromNintendo.
Nintendo also published Triangle Strategy outside of Japan, so a similar situation may have occurred here.

“The combat is solid, the story is epic – if a little too much at times – and there are multiple wildly different plot routes (often guided by the ‘Scales of Conviction’ gimmick, in which the player has to attempt to convince other members in their party to go along with their decision),” we wrote.
“Add to this the fact that completing the game unlocks a New Game+ mode, which encourages multiple playthroughs, and there’s potentially hundreds of hours of content here for any players willing to take it on.”
