Xbox’s big summer showcase will reportedly take place on Sunday June 13.
Speaking during a Twitch stream on Tuesday, VentureBeat reporter Jeff Grubb also claimedMicrosoftwill officially announce the event later this week.
“Microsoft for sure should tell us this week and that day is going to be June 13, so Sunday June 13,”he said.
Grubb later added: “And I believe that’s going to be in the morning in America… I can’t remember off the top of my head, I think it’s 10am Pacific Time [1pm ET / 6pm BST] but I could be wrong.”
Matt Booty, who heads upXboxGame Studios, recently confirmed thatXbox and Bethesda Softworks would hold a joint conferencethis summer to introduce players to their upcoming projects.
Last week he told French publicationLe Figarothat the event would take place in a few weeks, suggesting a mid-June timeframe coinciding withSummer Game Fest(which kicks off on June 10) andE3 2021(which takes place June 12-15).
Microsoft announced in March that it had officiallycompleted the acquisition of ZeniMax Media, the parent company ofBethesda, in a $7.5 billion deal.
The move saw Xbox Game Studios grow from 15 to 23 development teams with the addition of Bethesda Game Studios,id Software, ZeniMax Online Studios,Arkane,MachineGames,Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog and Roundhouse Studios.
