CD Projekt has released The Witcher spin-off, Thronebreaker, for Nintendo Switch.

The ‘card battle RPG’, which first released forPCand consoles in 2018, is available to purchase now for $19.99 / £16.99 via theNintendoeShop.

The Switch version was ported by Polish studio Crunching Koalas and includes a set of free digital goodies. Details on how to claim a soundtrack, concept art gallery and annotated map can be found on thededicated website.

The game acts as a single-player component for popular Witcher card game Gwent, with a story following the war-veteran queen Meve, who is out on a journey of “destruction and revenge” amid an imminent Nilfgaardian invasion.

Players lead a small force of warriors as they journey across several regions from previous Witcher games from an isometric perspective.

Queen Meve’s army is represented by a customizable deck of cards and combat takes place in matches similar to Gwent.

In DecemberCD Projekt signed a new agreement with The Witcher book author Andrzej Sapkowskiwhich will see both parties continue to work together.
