The Tower of London will host a replica of Invictus, the protagonist’s sword from Final Fantasy 16, for one month.

The display, which will be open to the public, will see the sword displayed near authentic armour once worn by British royalty. In-game, the sword is wielded by Clive Rosfield, the game’s protagonist.

The sword was created by swordsmithTod Todeschini. “Square Enixchallenged me to bring the sword from Final Fantasy 16 to life from the digital world to the real world,” he explained, “therefore the first and most sizeable task was working out how to actually make it in reality.

“I knew from the very start this was not going to be an ordinary sword, and challenging in every way, but I’m very pleased with the finished sword and proud that it will be available for the fans to view alongside the Royal Armouries collection in the Tower of London.”
