A live action Pac-Man movie is currently in development, it’s claimed.
According toThe Hollywood Reporter, the big screen adaptation of the arcade classic will be based on an original idea by Chuck Williams, the producer behindSega’s successful Sonic the Hedgehog movie.
Williams will produce the Pac-Man movie alongside his company Lightbeam Entertainment, and Wayfarer Studios, it’s claimed.
Pac-Man is one of the most iconic video games of the 1980s and continues to spawn new titles more than 40 years since its debut in arcades.
Last monthBandai Namco released Pac-Man Museum+, a 14-game compilation that unites games from across the history of the Pac-Man series.
By completing missions, players are able to win arcade machines and other decorations for their virtual arcade within the game.
AndBandai Namcoannounced during June’sNintendo DirectMini: Partner Showcase that it wasworking on Pac-Man World Re-Pac, a modernised version of the 1999PlayStationplatformer.
