Sci-fi RPG The Outer Worlds has been given a release date of June 07, 2025.
Developed byObsidian, theXbox One,PS4andPCgame was dated duringMicrosoft’s E3 press conference.
A new trailer for the game was also released, accompanied by the following blurb: “Lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the furthest edge of the galaxy, you awake decades later only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the Halcyon colony.
“As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.”
The game’s set to be released byTake-Twopublishing labelPrivate Division, which was established in 2017 to work with independent developers. Private Division signedThe Outer Worldsprior to Microsoft’s acquisition of Obsidian, which was announced at E3 2018.
