The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has been delayed by “a few months”, co-publishers Daedalic Entertainment and Nacon announced on Monday.
The game waspreviously scheduled for release on September 1, 2022forPC,PS4,PS5,XboxOne andXbox Series X/S, with aNintendo Switchversion due to arrive at a later date.

“During the past several years, the team has been working hard to share our vision of a remarkable story, set in a breathtaking world, filled with magic and wonder,” its publishers said.
“We are dedicated to meeting our community’s expectations and uncovering the untold story of Gollum in a way that honors the vision of J.R.R. Tolkien.

“That being said, to deliver the best possible experience, we have decided to push the release of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum by a few months. We’ll update with an exact timing in the near future.”
Taking place in parallel to the events described in The Fellowship of the Ring, Gollum is a story-driven action RPG in which players embark on a quest to retrieve the One Ring.
