Viewable below, the gameplay reveal trailer shows off Paul Phoenix in action.

The character has appeared in every series entry stretching back to the original Tekken in 1994.

Tekken 8 was officially announcedin September 2022, during aPlayStationState of Playlivestream.

While a release date hasn’t been confirmed, the game is planned for release onPS5,Xbox Series X/SandPCviaSteam.

Bandai Namcorecently saidclosed alpha tests for Tekken 8will be held across multiple locations globally to gather feedback on the new battle systems introduced in the game.

The first closed alpha test will be held at Evo Japan, which takes place from March 31 to April 2. To participate, players will need to apply via a special website.

Last month, Bandai Namco released aTekken 8 gameplay trailershowing Kazuya Mishima in action.

Tekken 7was released for arcades in 2015 before making it way toPS4,Xbox One, and PC via Steam in June 2017.

Last December, series directorKatsuhiro Haradasaid Tekken 7 had topped 10 million sales, taking lifetime franchise sales to over 54 million units.
