When does The Last of Us TV show start? It’s the question on the lips of every fan of Naughty Dog’s PlayStation series.
After months of speculation and a slow drip of information, the HBO show is finally just days away from arriving, andearly reviewssuggest it’s going to be excellent.
How much longer will you have to wait to watch the show, though, and where can you watch it once it’s ready?

The Last of Us TV series: What’s it about?
The Last of Us is the first television series fromPlayStationProductions, a studio formed bySony Interactive Entertainmenttoadapt its original game propertiesfor film and TV.
Co-written and executive produced by Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin andNaughty Dogvice presidentNeil Druckmann, it will cover the events of the first game and may include content based onThe Last of Us Part 2.
Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey portray the show’s lead characters, Joel and Ellie. Nico Parker (Dumbo), the daughter of actress Thandie Newton, is playing Joel’s daughter Sarah, while Gabriel Luna (Agents of Shield) stars as Joel’s brother Tommy.
The Last of Us TV series: Start time and channel
Because it’s an HBO production, it should come as no surprise that The Last of Us will premiere on the HBO channel.
Not every country has HBO or HBO Max, but deals have been done to ensure The Last of Us fans in other locations can still watch the show.
In the UK, the first episode will air on Sky Atlantic on January 16 at 2am (i.e. the same time as the US gets it), and will then air again that evening. UK viewers will also be able to stream the show on demand on NOW.
In Australia, the show will be able to stream on Binge and Foxtel, with each episode arriving on Monday mornings (starting January 16) at 1PM AEDT.
