A live concert of Kirby music will be streamed online next week, Nintendo has announced.
The Kirby 30th Anniversary Music fest, which wasannounced back in March, will be taking place at Tokyo Garden Theater on August 11, andNintendowill be streaming the concert globally on YouTube.
The concert starts at 6pm in Tokyo, which translates to 2am PDT / 5am EDT / 10am BST.
Because this may be inconvenient for some western Kirby fans, Nintendo says it will attempt to provide a replay later.
“We plan to upload a video archive of the Kirby 30th Anniversary Music Fest at a later date,” the company said on Twitter.
“Please note,” it added, “the concert will be in Japanese and will not have simultaneous interpretation to other languages.”
“To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Kirby, a one-time-only music festival will be held featuring a large big band-style ensemble of 35 musicians performing in a variety of genres,” according to the event’sofficial website.
“This event is a musical event in which you may enjoy original medleys of songs from past titles in the series while reminiscing on your memories with them. A large LED monitor at the venue will also feature a moving Kirby!”

The event is part of Nintendo’s anniversary celebrations for Kirby, commemorating 30 years since the release of Kirby’s Dream Land on Jul 31, 2025.
This year also saw the release ofKirby and the Forgotten Land, the first 3D platformer in the main Kirby series, which Nintendo claimshas enjoyed the “highest sell-through” for any entryin the series to date.
