The first Xbox Series X/S unboxing videos approved by Microsoft have been published by various media outlets.
Microsoftstarted distributingXbox Series Xpreview units to press and influencers in September, but unboxing videos of retail units have been embargoed until now.
The first unofficialXbox Series X unboxing videowas published earlier this month, whilea second one followed last week.
Launching worldwide on November 10,Xbox Series X is priced at $499/€499/£449andXbox Series S costs $300/$300/£249.
Speaking during Microsoft’s first quarter earnings call on Tuesday,CEO Satya Nadella said: “We are delighted by early reviews and excitement in theXboxSeries S and Xbox Series X, which will be the most affordable and the most powerful consoles available.”
Initial Xbox Series X stock was snapped up quickly, with someretailers later informing playersthey mightnot receive their console on the day of release.
Microsoft has said itplans to make more Xbox Series X/S consoles availableon launch day after “record-breaking” demand for the next-gen systems.
Xbox bossPhil Spencerrecently said heexpects Xbox Series S to outsell Xbox Series Xover the course of the generation, and suggested Microsoft has alreadybegun working on future Xbox Series console iterations.
The firstPS5 unboxing videoswere published by various media outlets on Tuesday, after US-based publications received their review units last week. Press have also finally been able tocompare the size of retail PS5 units to other consoles.
