The first gameplay footage of Hogwarts Legacy on Nintendo Switch has been published online.
X (formerly Twitter) user Tal Helfgott said that he managed to buy the game ahead of its official release, showing a photo of its box as proof.

According to Helfgott, some of the game has to be downloaded, but because he has it early it’s not yet possible to do this – he’s instead taken to the pre-order page for the game on theSwitcheShop.
Despite this, at least some of the game is playable, and Helfgott appears to be pleased, referring to it as “another impossible port” for the Switch.

The game doesn’t allow players to capture video footage directly by holding the Capture button – something that occasionally happens in games that push the Switch’s capabilities to its limits.
Instead, then, Helfgott recorded video of the game being played on the Switch on handheld mode, where performance appears to be relatively stable.
