Coal Supper‘s comedy game Thank Goodness You’re Here took home the main prize at the UKIE Video Game Awards 2025.
It won the UK Game of the Year award ahead of fellow nominees Planet Coaster 2 (Frontier Developments) andStill Wakes the Deep(Sumo Digital).

Released last August for PC and consoles, Thank Goodness You’re Here is about a colourful, fictional northern English town called Barnsworth.
“It’s a joyously silly game,” according toVGC’s 5/5 star review. “It’s a shameless, full-chested love letter to Monty Python and a prime candidate for one of the funniest games ever.”

Thank Goodness You’re Here was also named Best PC Game at Tuesday’s UKIE awards show, while Monument Valley 3 won Best UKMobileGame andLego Horizon Adventurestook home the award for Best UK Console Game.
Best UK Developer went to FuturLab (PowerWash Simulator), whilePlaystack(Balatro) was named Best UK Publisher. A full rundown of the award winners is republished below.

UKIE also inducted five individuals into UK games industry Hall of Fame, in honor of their transformative impact on the video games industry.
This year’s Hall of Fame inductees are Frontier Developments founder David Braben, Trailmix co-founder Carolin Krenzer, DMA Design founderDavid Jones,GoogleDeepMind co-founder Demis Hassabis, and narrative designer Meghna Jayanth (80 Days and Thirsty Suitors).
