Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game will be released on July 04, 2025.
Developed by New Zealand-based special effects and prop company Wētā Workshop, which is best known for its work on the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films, the game lets players “discover, decorate, and live the cosy life of a Hobbit” in the idyllic town of Bywater.
Originally scheduled for release this yearprior to a delay earlier this month, Tales of the Shire is coming toPC,Nintendo Switch,PS5,Xbox Series X/SandNetflixGames via publisherPrivate Division.
