Our Summer Game Fest schedule will help you keep track of all the video game news and announcements planned for the coming week.
E3 might have been cancelledyet again, but there’s still plenty to be excited about in Los Angeles during the month of June.

That includes theXbox and Bethesda Showcase,Ubisoft Forwardand the bigSummer Game Fest2023opening showcase, all of which will be streamed live and covered immediately here on VGC, in addition to our on-the-ground reporting from the events themselves.
There’sno Nintendo Directthis year, but there are still a lot of other live streams to tune in to, which is why we’ve put together this complete Summer Game Fest schedule for the upcoming week.

It’s worth noting that not all of the streams are officially part of ‘Summer Game Fest’, but they’re close enough that we’ve included them here.

Guerrilla Collective – Wednesday, June 7

Guerrilla Collective is a popular event dedicated mainly to digital indie titles.

This year, the main live stream promises to reveal fresh announcements, trailers, gameplay and more from “many of the world’s top developers and publishers”.
Summer Game Fest 2023 – Thursday, June 8

Billing itself as the “global fan celebration of what’s next in video games”, Summer Game Fest will return for its fourth year with a live event on June 8 at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 8pm BST.

Promising world premieres, live gameplay demos and announcements, the two-hour show will take place in front of a live audience at the YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, California.

Host and producerGeoff Keighleyrecently said Summer Game Fest 2023 will feature content fromover 40 publishers, including PlayStation and Xbox.

Titles featured at last year’s Summer Game Fest showcase includedCall of Duty Modern Warfare 2,Street Fighter 6,The Callisto Protocol,Gotham KnightsandThe Last of Us Part 1.
On the format of this year’s live show, Keighley added: “WhereasThe Game Awardsis very much straight trailer, trailer, trailer, announcement, announcement, announcement, I think Summer Game Fest has a chance to talk to the developers and showcase games and give a little bit more context around games. We’re not giving out awards in the show. It really is just kind of a showcase of games.”

Iam8bit andDouble Fine‘s semi-annual indie showcase returns for its traditional slot following the main Summer Game Fest live stream.

For more than a decade, Day of the Devs has showcased over 500 games, including hits likePsychonauts 2, Escape Academy,Untitled Goose Game, Unpacking,What Remains of Edith Finch, and Disco Elysium, in both in-person and online events.
Devolver Direct – Thursday, June 8

It wouldn’t be aDevolver Digitalevent without a sarcasm-laden spoof show that mixes industry satire with actual game announcements, and this year will be no different.
The theme for 2023 is “the return of Volvy”, the company’s “beloved video game mascot”, who will seemingly be hosting the show.
Last year’s event was hosted by ‘Mecha Suda 51’, a robot with a TV screen displaying the No More Heroes creator.
Access-Ability Summer Showcase – Friday, June 9

The first annual Access-Ability Summer Showcase promises to highlight recently released and upcoming video games made by disabled game developers, and featuring accessibility settings designed to help ensure more disabled gamers can play.
During the showcase, every game shown will detail a selection of their accessibility settings offerings, to make sure that those watching at home know if they’ll be able to play.
“Our aim is to make sure that if a game looks exciting, you don’t have to worry about getting hyped, only to learn later that a game doesn’t support your needs as a player,” said host Laura Kate Dale.
Tribeca Games Spotlight – Friday, June 9

The Tribeca Festival has again selected several games which it will be showing off during the course of the festival.
The program will feature world premieres of The Expanse: A Telltale Series,StrayGods, and Nightscape. The Spotlight stream will show off each game in detail, along with interviews with their creators.
Festival attendees can also expect a screening ofHideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds directed by Glen Milner, which takes viewers on a journey into the creative mind of the Metal Gear creator.
Future of Play Direct – Saturday, June 10

Future Of Play Direct is another indie games showcase billed as “a fresh spin on video game showcases bringing you exciting new games from across the galaxy — inspired by quintessential hype machine, Toonami.”
The show is hosted by V-tuber A.I. broadcaster Melios, who makes it their mission to feature “big announcements, brand new trailers, musical guests, and show-stopping galaxy premieres that are dripping in style”.
Wholesome Games 2023 – Saturday, June 10

Taking place immediately after Future of Play, the Wholesome Direct will focus entirely on uplifting and ‘cozy’ games.
Wholesome promises “an hour of exclusive footage and announcements from 70+ amazing indie games”.
Future Games Show – Saturday, June 10

The Future Games Show: Summer Showcase will feature over 50 multi-format games, according to its organisers, and be hosted by the stars ofMarvel’s Spider-Man.
Hollywood voice actors Yuri Lowenthal (Peter Parker) and Laura Bailey (Mary Jane Watson) will host the 70-minute gaming showcase, which will be broadcast on Twitch, YouTube, TikTok and Twitter.
Xbox Games Showcase & Starfield Direct – Sunday, June 11
FollowingSony’s own showcase last month,Microsoftis the only of the other three platform holders to hold an event during the Summer Game Fest window (Nintendois nowhere to be seen).
In total, the Showcase will last around 2 hours. Xbox’s Games Showcase will be directly followed by a Starfield Direct presentation, offering a deep-dive intoBethesda’s sci-fi RPG.
“Join us for some new surprises and first-looks from our incredibly talented internal studios, and our many creative partners around the world,” Microsoft said. “This is the day gamers have been waiting for to see what is coming to Xbox, PC, and Game Pass.
“Starfield Direct will invite you inside Bethesda Game Studios to learn much, much more about Starfield, with tons of new gameplay, developer interviews, and behind-the-scenes insider information.”
PC Gaming Show – Sunday, June 11

The annual PC showcase hosted by PC Gamer will once again be highlighting a series of upcoming PC titles.
According to the publication, 2023’s live stream will feature 55 games, including 16 new game announcements and “special access to developer studios around the world”.
Last year’s event showcased “never-before-seen gameplay footage, interesting conversations with developers, and announcements from across the world ofPC gaming“.
Final Fantasy XVI Pre-Launch Celebration – Sunday, June 11

Square Enixwill host a Final Fantasy XVI Pre-Launch Celebration in Los Angeles on June 11.
Details are thin on what to expect, but considering it’s holding a big in-person showcase, it’s likely there will be plenty for fans to get excited about.
One possibility is thatthe Final Fantasy 16 demospotted onPlayStationStore listings will release during the event, allowing users to try out the game before its release later this month.
Ubisoft Forward – Monday, June 12
After its high-profile decisionto quit E3, Ubisoft will be holding its own live stream and in-person event on Monday, June 12.
A trailer for the event confirms that it will featureAvatar: Frontiers of Pandora,Assassin’s Creed Mirageand The Crew: Motorfest, while also teasing an unannounced title.
Twitch viewers will beeligible to earn Twitch Drops rewardsfor multiple games by watching on Ubisoft’s main channel or those of official co-streaming partners.
Capcom Showcase – Monday, June 12
Announced less than a week before broadcast, the latest Capcom Showcase will feature “news and updates” on the company’s latest games.
According to Capcom, the show will last 36 minutes and will feature some games which “aren’t suitable for children”.
Xbox Games Showcase Extended – Tuesday, June 13
A follow-up stream, Xbox Games Showcase Extended, will air on June 13 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST / 7pm CET.
According to Microsoft, it will feature in-depth interviews focused on the news from the main showcase plus game updates from third-party partners.
UploadVR Showcase – Wednesday, June 14

As the name suggests, Upload VR Showcases are a celebration of what’s to come for VR content.
Last year the publication promised, “the most new game reveals we’ve ever featured at a showcase, including some from companies yet to release VR games”.
Grasshopper Direct – Wednesday, June 14

Grasshopper Manufacturewill be hosting its first ever ‘Direct’ presentation this year.
The No More Heroes and Shadows of the Damned studio, led bySuda51, hasn’t released a new game since August 2021, before it was acquired by Chinese publisherNetEasein October 2021.
One game that may make an appearance during the Grasshopper Direct is Shadows of the Damned Remastered,which was announcedat the same time as the Direct.
RGG Studio Summit Summer 2023 – Thursday, June 15

Like a Dragon developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio will hold a product showcase on June 15.
The RGG Summit Summer 2023 will take place on June 15 at 8pm PT / 11pm ET (June 16 at 4am BST).
No further information about the showcase has been announced, with fans told to stay tuned for live stream details.
