Stray has become Annapurna Interactive’s biggest PC launch to date.
According to officialSteamfigures, on its release day the indie title’s peak concurrent player count currently stands at 62,963.
Only 12 games are being played by more Steam users at the time of publishing, including free-to-play hitApex Legendsand AAA titles likeFIFA 22and Grand Theft Auto.

According to independent market analystBenji-Sales, Stray has comfortably beaten Annapurna’s record for concurrent players on Steam, which was previously held by Twelve Minutes with 8,021. Behind that areOuter Wilds(7,936), Neon White (3,277) and Journey (1,757).

Developed by small French studio BlueTwelve, Stray was released today forPS5as well asPC.
The game is priced at £24.99/$29.99 on thePlayStationStore and at £23.99/$29.99 on Steam.

VGC’sStray reviewcalled it one of Annapurna’s best releases to date.
It concludes: “Stray is a masterclass in environmental design, with one of the most engrossingly detailed game worlds we’ve explored. Like its protagonist it’s a little on the short side, but what’s here will stay with you for a long time. Essential.”
