Starfield’s Shattered Space story expansion will be released this fall, Bethesda has confirmed.
The game’s director,Todd Howard, provided a launch window for the DLC while discussing new features coming to the game in an interview withKinda Funny Gameson Monday.
“Shattered Space is in the fall, but we have a big update that’s coming really soon forStarfield,” he said. “There’s a lot of stuff… we redid the map stuff, so we have some city map stuff.”
The Shattered Space expansion was announced ahead of Starfield’s release last September and is included with the game’s more expensive editions.
Bethesdasaid in December that Shattered Space, its “first major expansion coming next year”, would feature “new story content, new locations, new gear, and much more”.
It also said that it planned to roll out significant new features and fixes for Starfieldroughly every six weeks.

“The update that we having coming [next], I think it’s going to get announced in a few days this week, and then be up onSteambeta, has got some great stuff for ship building in it as well,” Howard added.
Elsewhere in the interview, he said Bethesda isn’t ruling out partnering with external developers on future games asit looks to find solutions to increase its output.
