Google is giving early Stadia adopters an additional Buddy Pass, enabling them to offer a friend three months of Stadia Pro access for free.
New Buddy Passes arerolling outto those who purchased theStadiaFounder’s Edition and can be sent to a friend in the form of a code via the Stadia app.
Stadia Pro includes 4K/HDR streaming with 5.1 surround sound, although currently these features areonly available if you’re playing on a TVusing an official Stadia controller andGoogleChromecast Ultra. The subscription service also also offersapproximately one free game per month.
Buddy Pass recipients don’t require an official Stadia controller as the platform supports third-party pads when playing onPCand mobile devices.
Following the expiration of free trials, Stadia Pro will cost $9.99/£8.99 per month.
The Stadia Pro launch line-up of free games includesDestiny2: The Collection and Samurai Showdown, while December’s free games areTomb Raider: Definitive Edition and Farming Simulator 19.
