Skylanders, Spyro and Crash Bandicoot studio Toys for Bob has reached an agreement with Microsoft for its next game.
“We’re excited to announce that we’ll be partnering withXboxto publish our next new game,” said the studio,which split from Activision this yearfollowingMicrosoft’s acquisition of the Call of Duty publisher.

“We’re still very early in development, so you might not hear from us for a bit – but know that we’re working hard on an experience we’re so sooo inspired about! Can’t wait to share more.”

Toys for Bobwas founded in 1989 and developed such games as StarControl, Pandemoniom and The Unholy War before it was acquired byActivisionin 2005.

In recent years, the California studio has assisted with development on the Call of Duty series, but is best known as the studio behind the Skylanders series, as well as 2020’sCrash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Timeand 2018’s Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
Its most recent game wasCrash Team Rumble, an online multiplayer “strategic platformer” which was released to a mixed reception from critics, with thePS5version receiving a Metacritic score of 67.
