Insomniac Games has confirmed that Spider-Man Miles Morales saves will be transferable from the PS4 version of the game to the PS5 one.
Sonysaid this month that Miles Morales will be released for its current-gen console in addition to the previously announcedPS5version, with a free upgrade path between the two versions.

Insomniac Gamescommunity director James Stevenson has now confirmed that players moving from one console to the next will be able to bring their save file with them too, although it wasn’t explained exactly how this will work.

ORIGINAL STORY CONTINUES:During a recent PS5 showcase, Sony revealed that the $70/£70Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Editionwill include a download code for a remastered version ofPS4gameMarvel’s Spider-Man, including all three instalments of the The City That Never Sleeps DLC.
Current-gen owners who purchase the new game will be able to upgrade to the ‘standard’ next-gen version for free orpay an additional $20 feeto receive the Ultimate version which includes the remaster.

Players will have to restart Spider-Man on PS5though as “saves won’t transfer from the original game to the Remaster,” according to Insomniac.
On Monday, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio confirmed thatsave data will not be transferablebetween the PS4 and PS5 versions ofYakuza: Like a Dragon.

Morales is one of three games previously thought to be PS5 exclusives that Sony recently confirmed will also be released for PS4,including Horizon Forbidden West and Sackboy A Big Adventure.
