PlayStation-acquired studio Firesprite has shown off its new, much larger office.

“The move to our new studio space is a significant step forward for Firesprite in helping us fulfill our vision of becoming a creative powerhouse within thePlayStationStudios family,” readsan article on the studio’s websitecelebrating the move.

The team, which now numbers over 250, has moved into the totally renovated space which has previously hosted a “library, maritime business, museum and newsroom,” according to Firesprite.

The complex, which is leased until 2032 according to reports, is thelargest letting in Liverpool in three years.

Firesprite worked alongsideGuerrilla GamesonPlayStation VR 2 title Horizon: Call of the Mountain, and VGC understands it has also taken over development of theas-yet unannounced Twisted Metal reboot.

Job listings earlier this year on the studio’s website also show that it’s working on a “AAA narrative driven horror-adventure game in Unreal 5“.

Firesprite was established in 2012 by former members of SIE Studio Liverpool, after it was closed down bySony.Sony then acquired Firespritein September 2021, making it an official part of the ‘PlayStation Studios family’.

Making the announcement at the timer, PlayStation Studios headHermen Hulststated: “After a number of years closely collaborating on several games together, including The Playroom and The Playroom VR, I couldn’t be more delighted to welcome Firesprite to the PlayStation Studios family as our 14th studio.
