Sony and Guerrilla Games have given players their first proper glimpse of Horizon Forbidden West gameplay footage.
A newState of Play presentationbroadcast today showed off 14 minutes of the game in action.

The footage shows some of Aloy’s new moves, including the ability to use a new grappling hook and shield glider, as well as a diving mask that lets her stay underwater for as long as she likes.
Players can also override some of the game’s machines and mount them for faster travel or combat.

However, the video does not mention a release date.GuerrillaannouncedHorizon: Forbidden West for PS5in June 2020 ahead ofa planned 2021 release. The game was laterconfirmed for PS4 too.
Prior to the sequel’s announcement, VGC revealed thatPlayStationand Guerrilla are planning aHorizon Zero Dawn trilogy.

Horizon Forbidden Weststarted development soon after the first game’s successful release and was originally planned forPS4before focus shifted toSony’s next-generation console, VGC’s sources said.
The sequel has protagonist Aloy exploring the new frontier, which stretches from Utah in the USA all the way to the Pacific Ocean in the West. According to Guerrilla, players will explore deserts, valleys and ruined cities full of iconic landmarks.
