The Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie’s post-credits scene has seemingly leaked.
Mobilephone footage from what appears to be a pre-release screening is currently circulating on social media platforms.
If genuine, it reveals some of the new characters who could feature in a potential fourth Sonic movie. At the time of publishing, you may watch the scene in question via the YouTube video embedded below.
Paramount’s first two Sonic films both ended with cliffhangers revealing new characters set to star in their sequels, starting with Tails in Sonic 1 and Shadow at the end of Sonic 2.
And in a recentEntertainment Weeklyinterview, Sonic 3 directorJeff Fowlersuggested the upcoming film would alsoset the stage for a fourth movie with another character reveal.
“It’s fun to see the fan debates online about who’s coming up next, who’s going to be teased at the end of the film. We have a lot of the same conversations,” he said.
“We’ve all got our favorites on the filmmaking side, and we’re all making great cases for ‘it should be this one or that one.’ It is fun to keep that anticipation. This movie is no different in terms of teasing new characters.”
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is due to hit cinemas on December 20.
