Mega Crit has announced a sequel to its popular roguelike deck-building game Slay the Spire.

Slay the Spire 2 will be released inSteamEarly Access in 2025, the Seattle, Washington-based studio said on Wednesday.

The sequel has been “completely rewritten from the ground up” in a new game engine, according to its newly-launchedSteam page.

“We’re bringing in modern features, incorporating all-new visuals, and expanding moddability,” it reads.

Slay the Spire launched in early access forPC,MacandLinuxin November 2017, ahead of its official release in January 2019.
