Skull & Bones is a “multiplayer first” gameset in a world inspired by the Indian Ocean during the golden age of piracy.

According toa video which leaked in April, players begin their journey as an underdog whose goal is to become the most infamous pirate to sail the seas.
They start off with a small dhow (trading vessel), but as they progress and their Infamy level rises, they can craft bigger and stronger ships with unique playstyles.

Players earn Infamy in a variety of ways including taking on contracts, which are deals they make with NPCs in the world, some of which can be shared and completed in a group of up to three players.
Infamy is also rewarded by completing activities such as exploration, plundering and treasure hunts, and by participating in big world events.
