The newly developed remake of Silent Hill 2 rewards players for trying to skip playing the game.

At the start of the game, protagonist James starts from an Observation Deck overlookingSilent Hill. He’s supposed to head down the stairs and make his way into Silent Hill, where the adventure begins.

However, asAutomatonreports, players can instead turn right and attempt to leave Silent Hill by walking down a country road in the opposite direction.

If they attempt this, the game will eventually give them an invisible wall – James is inevitably forced to face the horrors of Silent Hill – but it does at least award players with aPlayStationTrophy.

The ‘No Turning Back Now’ trophy will be awarded, with the description: “Try to leave Silent Hill in the Observation Deck area”.
