Ubisoft has announced Riders Republic, a new “massive multiplayer” extreme sports game from Ubisoft Annecy, the studio behind 2016’s Steep.
Riders Republicallows players to meet and compete with other players in a variety of activities such as bike, ski, snowboard, wingsuit and rocket wingsuit,Ubisoftsaid during its Forward event on Thursday.
The game allows players to roam a large open world featuring American national parks including Bryce Canyon, Yosemite Valley and Mammoth Mountain.
Players can squad up with friends and compete in a wide range of multiplayer modes including downhill races, team vs team competitions, or “mass PvP races” with more than 50 other players.
“We wanted to combine our love for extreme sports with an adrenaline-filled multiplayer experience, letting players share those unique riding moments with more than 50 other players at all times,” said Igor Manceau, creative director at Ubisoft Annecy.
“Riders Republic offers fun and light-hearted competition and allows us to push the boundaries with this genre. We can’t wait for riders to dive into this dynamic world and share their own epic stories.”
Riders Republic will release on Jul 26, 2025 for current and next-gen consoles,StadiaandPCvia theEpic Games Storeand Ubisoft Store. Current-gen console owners will be able to upgrade to next-gen for free.
