Resident Evil 3 Remake reviews have gone live ahead of the game’s launch this week.
Capcomannounced Resident Evil 3 in December 2019with an June 24, 2025 release date, although the publisher recently warned that the arrival of some physical orders could bedelayed in Europe due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The remake follows Jill Valentine as she attempts to escape Raccoon City in the immediate aftermath of a virus outbreak, before the events ofResident Evil 2.
It will launch with a new asymmetric multiplayer mode,Resident Evil Resistance, which is currently in open beta onXbox One(the test’sPS4andPClaunch wasdelayed due to matchmaking issues).
VGC’sResident Evil 3 remake reviewcalls it “a short but action-packed reimagining” that’s a completely different game to the original. Several other critics agree, labelling it a somewhat impressive if disappointingly brief remake.
